…Says He Is Worthy Of Emulation
The former Chairman of Lagos State Chapter, All Progressive Congress (APC), Henry Ajomale, has described the Oniworo of Iworo, Oba Friday Oladele Kosoko, JP, as a man of superlative character worthy of emulation.
This is just as he enthusiastically praised the traditional ruler for his visionary leadership and establishment of landmark projects in the town,
Ajomale made the remarks when he was commissioned the ‘Royal Eatery,’ a modern fast food outlet located at Iworo town and owned by the traditional ruler.
The restaurant is a stone throw distance from the popular Whispering Palm Resort in Badagry.
Ajomale who claimed that his last visit to the town took place three years ago, said he was fascinated by the spate of developments in the town within a short period of Oba Kosoko ascension to the throne.
“I am very happy and impressed when I came in this morning to find that a lot of development projects had taken place here in Iworo town. What I saw this morning shows a large departure from the past.
“Within a very short period of his ascension to the throne he has put in place projects that one could not find in towns that are bigger than Iworo.” the ex APC chairman noted.
He said though, it was not a surprise to him because the traditional ruler “is a veteran politician and great administrator, who in his capacity as a member of the Federal House of Representatives during former President Ibrahim Babangida’s regime made very high marks in his oversight functions.
“Do not let him deceive you, that he is not a politician, and if he deceives you, he can’t deceive us because we have been in politics together for ages before he became a traditional ruler,” Ajomale added.
Speaking on the harsh economic situation in the country, he commended Nigerians for their patience, saying that he strongly believed in the words of President Bola Tinubu that the impacts of his administration’s policy measures to bring the economy back to normal would start yielding results from the first quarter of this year.
While he appealed to Nigerians to remain calm, he assured that the situation would improve “and all of us will be happy.”
According to him, “From all I know about Mr. President, when he decides on doing something, he makes sure he puts all his energy into it for a good result.”
He described the President as an honest individual who always would make his promise good. adding “ when he tells you this is what I will do tomorrow, by the time tomorrow comes, you will find him doing what he has promised to do.”
In his speech, Oba Kosoko used the occasion to correct the erroneous impression that he ascended the throne without being certificated by the government.
He referred to Ajomale as one of the prominent personalities that witnessed the presentation ceremony on a Sunday in April 2017.
