The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has bestowed the prestigious award of Peace Ambassador and Global Diplomat On former Director, Nigerian Communication Commission(NCC), Dr. Augustine Nwaulune.
The IAWPA award is in recognition of his significant contributions to humanity and the growth of Nigerian society.
The accolade, which goes beyond mere acknowledgment, also marks Dr. Augustine Nwaulune’s appointment to join the esteemed rank of Peace Champions across the globe.
The core mandate of IAWPA responsible for this recognition is to ensure global peace, sustainable development and the promotion of United Nations ideals and volunteers worldwide.
The International Director of IAWPA, Prof. Chidi Ehiriado, who spoke on the decision to recognise Nwaulune said “When you study his character from secondary to university and his life in the civil service, you will know that this man is a peaceful man”.
The accolade comes with an invitation for the newly inducted ambassadors to participate in events in the United States between now and September 2024.
Speaking on the award bestowed on him, Nwaulune expressed commitment to peace, emphasising that he has always been an advocate for harmony.
“Before I was inducted into this association, I have been a person of peace. I am the Group President of the Great Pentecost Assembly whose vision is to restore peace to the ailing world, so peace is what I preach, and peace is what I am,” he affirmed.
Nwaulene’s appointment and award underscore the importance of individuals actively contributing to global peace initiatives, recognising his impactful efforts in fostering a harmonious world.
Meanwhile, Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) has applauded the recognition of a business figure dedicated to both professional and humanitarian causes by the IAWPA.
Nwaulune, a retired director of the Nigerian Communication Commission(NCC) is a qualified engineer and a fellow of several professional bodies.
He is currently the Vice Chairman of Radio Communications Advisory Group and the President of Great New Pentecostal Assembly.
