As part of efforts to prevent crisis that may lead to the breakdown of law and order at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Cargo Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), the Commissioner of Police Airport Police Command, Aminu  Raji has advised all parties at the ANLCA Airport Chapter to maintained the status quo pending the determination by the Court of Appeal on the case between the incumbent Chairman, Prince Bagmibala Adewusi, ANLCA NECOM, ANLCA BOT Vs Alhaji Bola Balogun.

Recall that the legal tussle between the two parties at the ANLCA Airport Chapter started in 2022, from the Federal High Court with case Reference No: Appeal No: CA/LAG/CV/1084/2023, SUITE NO:FHC/L/CS/758/2022.”

A source who was aware of the  meeting the parties had  with the CP Lagos State, Director of State Security Service(DSS) , other Security agencies at the airport, members of ANLCA from both parties  yesterday Monday dropped the feelers with Ontimenewsng.com.

The source told the online news platform that at the meeting the parties to the dispute presented their positions,the incumbent Chairman, Prince Bagmibala Adewusi was duly elected and his tenure is still running and the case is in  court, everybody should maintain the status quo.

Ontimenewsng.com also learnt that despite the fact that the newly elected ANLCA Excos at the Airport Chapter  tried persuade the Police Commissioner to shut the Chapter’s Secretariat, but  that the Lagos Airport Police boss refused but instead assured both parties that he would probe into investigate the Appeal Court case to know the case is genuine and if it is, the rule of law would prevail .

Recall that on Friday, April 26,during an Emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of ANLCA, the National President of ANLCA had inaugurated new Executives to run the affairs of the association’s Airport Chapter, ignoring the pending case at the Court of Appeal Lagos, between Prince Bagmibala Adewusi, ANLCA NECOM, ANLCA BOT Vs Alhaji Bola Ashiru Balogun.

The case which was instituted by Alhaji Bola Balogun challenging the victory of Prince Bagmibala Adewusi has gone through the Federal High Court which delivered judgement in favour of Alhaji Bola Balogun, but Prince Bagmibala Adewusi has appealed the judgement which would come up on  May 21,2024 for hearing.
