The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service(NCS), Bashir Adeniyi, will lead a high power delegation to the 2024 Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) capacity-building workshop.

This prestigious event with the theme, “Digital Innovation: Deepening Infrastructure for Efficient Financial Ecosystem,” according to a statement by FiBOP will take place from October 18–20, 2024, at the Orchids Hotel in Lekki, Lagos.

The statement explained that Adeniyi as a Keynote Speaker, will shed light on the strategic importance of digital infrastructure to import duty collection and accountability.

He will bring his expertise in Customs administration to bear at the workshop, having recently made key appointments and redeployments within the NCS to enhance its leadership and optimise service delivery.

Besides Adeniyi , other Keynote Speaker are : the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi Agama, and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).Mr. Bello Hassan,

Dr. Agama, a renowned expert in economics, finance, and risk management, holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Economics from Nile University of Nigeria.

Hassan, on the hand is a seasoned professional with expertise in accounting, business continuity management, and banking.

The FiBOP 2024 workshop is aimed at providing a rich and engaging experience, facilitating networking, learning, and collaboration among stakeholders interested in Nigeria’s digital economy and financial ecosystem growth.

By leveraging digital innovation opportunities through a strengthened infrastructure base, FiBOP seeks to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s financial ecosystem development.
