…Accuse Finance Department Of Witholding Approved Funds
Trouble may be brewing at the office of the communication giant, Globacom following complaints by Media Partners that the organisation has refused to pay for the radio and television campaigns which runs into millions of Naira they carried out for Glo for five months.
This is just as the Media Partners lamented that their Christmas celebration may be bleak if they are not paid by the organisation
Investigation by Ontimenewsng.com revealed that Globacom owe Media Partners for five months without any sign of payment.
The online news medium learnt that the company owe its Media Partners for July, August, September, October and November 2024 and that up this moment of compiling this report, the communication company has not shown any sign of paying them for the services they have rendered despite the fact that Partners have completed their jobs 100 %.
Glo, as the organisation is popularly called, the online platform further learnt has not made any effort to communicate to its Media Partners why it refused to pay them for the services they have rendered successfully.
Checks by Ontimenewsng.com also revealed that attempts made by Media Partners to know why payments have not been made failed as no one in the organisation was ready to speak on the issue .
A source close to the company revealed to Ontimenewsng.com that the Chairman, Chief, Michael Adenuga has approved the payments for the radio and television campaigns done in July to November,2024 but that officials of Globacom in the Finance Department are allegedly witholding the money for their own selfish interest.
The source also alleged that the Finance Department instead of paying the money to the affected Media Partners are using it to run their private businesses.
The source equally claimed that the reason for witholding the millions of Naira is to enable the officials rake in huge interest for themselves before paying the Media Partners.
“What on earth will make people hold on to people’s money for no reason? These jobs were 100% completed.
This action is capable of crumbling other people’s business” a Media Partner, who spoke on the condition of anonymity lamented.
“Nigerians are going through trying time and it’s better we treat our selves with some sense of humanity,” the Partner added.
Attempts made by the online news platform to reach the Spokesman of Globacom, Arinze Anapugars to react to the issues raised by aggrieved Media Partners proved abortive as he neither picked his calls nor react to the message sent to his phone number via WhatsApp.
