The President Coalition for Ethical Standard Accountability and Good Governance (ESAGG), Comrade, Ebuka Nwachukwu has called for a rejig of the Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS), the lead agency in Border and Migration Management.

.The call by the coalition followed the series of arrest of wanted kidnappers , bandits and family members on planned Hajj travel by security agencies

According to the statement signed by the ESAGG President,the NIS must scale up its surveillance and monitoring activities around the country’s airports and hinterland following series of arrest of wanted kidnappers and bandits and some of their family members enroute Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025 by other security agencies and the military.

The ESAGG stated that wanted kidnappers were arrested at the following locations in Gwagwalada at the Hajj Camp,while awaiting Hajj Clearance at the camp in Gwagwalada FCT Yahaya Zango a wanted kidnapper was arrested and another by name Sani Galadi was arrested at Sultan Abubakar International Airport Sokoto Airport while attempting to board aircraft to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj 2025.
Similarly, mother and wife of a terrorist and bandit kingpin, Ado Aliero were arrested in Saudi Arabia.

Some foreigners were arrested in Jos,Plateau State by operatives of Operation Safe Haven, who were said to be working for an international company as stated by the Defense Headquarters Director of Information.

The Executive Governor’s of Plateau and Borno States, the group said have in clear terms stated that there are foreigners among the bandits and terrorists attacking the military and citizens of their states.

Several non Nigerians were arrested during the #endbadgovernance protest in some states participating in the unlawful protest,this has attracted negative comments from the general public and the members of the National Assembly.

This development, the coalition noted calls for a rejig of the NIS and the need for the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap to sit up to her appointment as the service is seen as weak,non effective and idle in it’s operation.

The group also call on the leadership of the service to wake up to her responsibility,as Nigerians are tired of incompetency in sensitive offices,

It added that many Nigerians are of the opinion that since the CG Nandap got the second extension she has decided to fold her hands while the service deteriorates in performance and service delivery against Mr President’s good intention to give women chance to lead even in very sensitive agency such as the Nigeria Immigration Service that is the lead agency in Border and Migration Management.
