On behalf of officers and men of the Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS) that enlisted into the service in 1989,which she is one of them,but for Mr. President’s prerogative appointment she was appointed Comptroller General of Immigration Service and had the rare privilege not right of extension beyond her due retirement date of 10/10/2024.
She would have retired alongside others due to having served for 35 years or attained 60 years of age in line with the Public Service Rule (PSR) of Nigeria.
Mr. President,your Renewed Hope Agenda captured the welfare,interest and well-being of retirees of government,but the case is different in the Nigeria Immigration Service,because of the two(2) extensions you approved for Kemi Nandap to serve as Comptroller General of Immigration Service,today,she keeps the files of retirees on her table indefinitely and do her bidding, discriminately and without considering their plight and the fact that she was supposed to have retired since 10/10/2024 like other course mates of hers.
Very senior and even junior officers that left since 2024,those she call her enemies,even after retirement are being treated discriminately and without compassion,she boasted that as far as this administration last,nobody can remove her from office,that she has the full backing of Mr. President,and so she does whatever she wants,even with sensitive issues like the retirement benefits that the service has mandate to offset,the Repatriation Allowances and Pull Out Benefits of very senior officers mostly her course mates of 1989 that retired since 2024.
As law abiding citizens who have paid their dues,we are using this medium to draw Mr. President’s attention to this ugly and Dehumanising development,a situation that demands immediate reprimanding and sanction of Kemi Nandap,as this is tantamount to sabotaging the administration of Mr. President,should the retirees go protesting this genuine course,it will go down in history to cast embarrassment and a negative reputation for a government established on Renewed Hope Agenda for its Citizens.
Mr. President,this call is for a thorough investigation and reaction to this petition,and to call her to order on account of using Mr. President’s magnaimous extension of appointment twice and abuse of authority and office wrongly for vendetta on retired officers and course mates.
An audit of the files of retirees in the year 2024, for Repatriation Allowances and Pull Out Benefits is relevant to establish this act of vindictiveness and vendetta.
