To Collaborate With Government, Private Sector, Stakeholders To Ensure Industry Growth

Says I Am Open To Positive ,Constructive Suggestions

The newly elected National President of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN has stated that he would ensure that inclusivity is the Hallmark of the union under is watch.

He said in his inaugural speech shortly after he was sworn in as the new National President of ATSSSAN .

Recall that Ogbe scored 62 votes to beat Dada Oluwole of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA),who garnered a total of 7 votes at the polls.

Comrade Ogbe said that his earnest belief in unionism resided in the unity and ATSSSAN unity communism.

He pointed out that all members of ATSSSAN community across the Nigerian aviation industry are one and that its matters are family affairs and shall be treated with all element of sincerity and seriousness.

The election, he said has come and gone and that he is returning ATSSSAN to the owners; the branches.

According to him, “I will ensure that inclusivity shall be the hallmark of this union under our watch.”

He said that this season at ATSSSAN is the era of peaceful and purposeful engagement in negotiating the welfare and working conditions of its members with relevant stakeholders.

“”We shall put efforts together with other critical stakeholders including the government and its agencies, private sector players and other aviation development partners to pilot and deliver the necessary progress of our industry,” he said.

This, he said he cannot achieve alone, adding that he is opened to positive suggestions and that the National Secretariat will be attentive to this in the life of ATSSSAN .

This period , Ogbe said marks another turning, transformative and tactical point of its great union.

He thanked the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Barr. Festus Keyamo, heads of agencies and parastatals particularly the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku for her commitment to ensure this victory that has been achieved.

He also commended the private sector heads and players in the in the aviation industry for their unwavering support.

He praised the immediate past NAC, NEC, and the delegates, who took out time to ensure that this wonderful and peaceful electoral process attained its desired goal:

Ogbe promised not to take all the sacrifices they have made for granted, reinstating his commitment and dedication to its campaign slogan: The ATSSSAN Awakening and Rebirth”.

He stated that his victory is for all members of ATSSSAN community, adding that there is no victor, no vanquish in the just concluded electioneering process.
