
The Group Managing Director of Finchglow Holdings, Mr. Bankole Bernard has disclosed that the group has identified two organisations that would partner with it to establish a flying school in 2026.
The essence of the proposed Flying School project is for the benefit of students who are interested in becoming pilots.
He made this known at a media appreciation event organised by Finchglow Holdings at the premises of Lagos Aviation Academy (LAA), one of the subsidiaries of Finchglow Holdings in Lagos.
The GMD revealed that the proposed flying school will be located in the South Western part of the country but did not mention the specific location
He added that the flying school will be established in the next one year .
Bernard further hinted that already two partners have been identified, one in Nigeria and the other a South Africa partner.
The South African based partner, he disclosed would provide Simulators for training while Nigeria based partner, Babcock University would provide partnership in the training programme.
On the essence of establishing LAA, he explained hat hhHe added that Finchglow’s aviation school, Lagos Aviation Academy was created as a response to the aviation industry’s manpower shortage.
Also speaking at the event , the Chief Cabin Crew Instructor and Quality Manager, Lagos Aviation Academy(LAA),Mr. Lawal Hakeem said that the school has grown over the years
He said that 2025 is a year of serious achievements in the turnout of cabin crew hostesses
LAA, Hakeem said has trained over 1,000 studentsvon three different aircraft types.
He said more aircraft would be added in 2026,adding that presently the scholl is far more rated above any other schools.
Hakeem stated that the school intend to expand the scope of its training and also establish a flying school in 2026.
Reflecting on 2025, the Head of Business FCM, Nigeria,Mr. Ayodele Abiola, said the subsidiary won an award as the best travel management company in 2025 and the best in Africa.
He said that 2025 has been a wonderful year and that FCM has been able to expand its footprint and also stay strong in the business.
“We have spread out tentacles into the Nigerian economy. Our customers base has improved and will continue ,” he said.
Speaking further, he said, “We want to be at the forefront of managing travels for the corporate phase. We will use technology and innovation to drive business in 2026.”
Abiola disclosed that FCM has the biggest International Oil Company(IOC) account, adding that securing the account is a great privilege to FCM.
He pointed out that the account is exposing the Finchglow Holdings subsidiary to alot of other businesses.
He revealed that this is the 9th month of managing the account and that already it has been renewed.
On his part, the Head of Business, Finchglow Holidays, Mr. Afolabi Oluwaseun informed a select journalists that Finchglow Holidays celebrated its 8th year anniversary with Ethiopian Airlines in 2025, granting Nigerians easy visa access from Ethiopia.
Projecting into the coming year, Afolabi said, ” In 2026, we are going all out for regional and continental tourism,” he said.
Summarising what happened in 2025 and projecting into what TravelDen intend to do in 2026, the Managing Director of TravelDen, Mr. Olugbenga Onitilo said that the company made some milestone achievements this year and that these successes would be improved on in 2026.
According to Onitilo “That the company made some achievements in 2025. In 2025 our customer base grew . It is a milestone achievement. Next year, we are going to have a more significant market share. Digitalising travel is key focus for next year. We are going to have more global reach and it will position our Finchglow Holdings in the global ecosystem.
”TravelDen would be 10 years in 2026 and that “in the past 11 months, we have grown the base of our customer size,” he said
