Overland Airways, one of Nigeria’s leading domestic airline said it will resume flight operations from Samuel Ladoke Akintola International Airport(SLAI), Ibadan to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja beginning from December 23,2025.

According to the airline, effective from December 23, 2025 Overland Airways will commence three weekly services from Ibadan to Abuja on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Abuja to Ibadan by 1030am and Ibadan to Abuja by 1200pm.

Speaking on the recommencement of flight from the ancient city of Ibadan to the seat of power, Abuja, the Chief Operating Officer(COO) of Overland Airways, Mrs. Aderonke Emmanuel-James, said, “As the pioneer airline on the Ibadan route Overland Airways is excited to return to Ibadan to continue the excellent flight services we have provided to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Osun State over the past 22 years. We equally wish to congratulate the Government of Oyo State for the extensive improvement works at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola International Airport, Ibadan.”

On the aircraft dedicated to the route, the airline said Overland Airways it will operate on the Ibadan route using its brand new 88-seater Embraer 175 aircraft, featuring Premium and Economy cabins.

Recall that Ibadan International Airport was closed for flight services in March 2025 to enable extensive upgrade to be carried out on facilities at the airport.

The Overland Airways COO assured its esteemed customers of reliable and consistent flight services on the route.
