Guard Time Information, Human Rights Activists Nationwide, has commended the United States President Donald Trump for deploying the U.S. Air Force against ISIS terrorist elements operating in North-West Nigeria.
The group also called on Trump to extend his efforts by ensuring that all individuals responsible for terrorist attacks in Nigeria are pursued, apprehended, and brought to justice to face the consequences of their actions against Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the organisation, the Chairman of the group, Mr. Bibi Oduku, urged President Bola Tinubu not to engage in negotiations with bandits or terrorist groups operating within the country.
He emphasised that Nigeria’s security agencies should be fully equiped to confront and neutralise these groups decisively, ensuring that none escape justice, including those who may have fled to other locations.
Oduku also expressed strong support for the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, encouraging him to remain focused and undeterred by criticism from a few individuals.
He noted that General Musa’s strategies are geared toward restoring peace and security across Nigeria and deserve commendation, especially in honour of innocent civilians and security personnel who have lost their lives to terrorist attacks.
Additionally, Oduku called on Nigerians to remain vigilant within their communities, urging citizens, who notice suspicious movements or believe their surroundings are being used as hideouts by terrorists or criminal elements to promptly alert security agencies with credible information that will aid in protecting lives and property across the country.
