​United Nigeria Airlines(UNA) has been officially admitted into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House (ICH).

Its admission, the airline explained marks a definitive step in the airline’s integration into the global aviation financial ecosystem.

The transactions takes effect from February 1, 2026.

With this development, UNA joins a prestigious global network of carriers utilising the ICH for secure and efficient financial settlements.

This milestone enables UNA to settle interline billings including passenger and cargo transactions through a secure and centralised global settlement system.

“​This admission reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency. While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships. This development is central to our mission of flying to unite, expand connectivity and provide our passengers with world-class service as we grow our regional and international footprints,” the airline said.

With this admission, UNA joins the over 360 airlines on the ICH platform..

The IATA ICH is a specialised, secure service for the air transport industry that facilitates the settlement of interline accounts, such as ticket sales, cargo charges, and ground handling fees.

It enables airlines and service providers to offset and net their debts, reducing transaction risks and simplifying complex cross-border financial transactions.
