…As CG Nandap Directs Lagos Passport Offices To Open On Saturdays
The Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS) has appealed to Nigerians to collect 107,646 produced passport booklets
The Service Public Relations Service (SPRO), Mr. Kenneth Udo disclosed this in a statement at the weekend Friday in Abuja.
The statement informed that the Comptroller General, Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap appealed to Nigerians who applied for passports to come forward and collect 107,646 produced passports which have remained uncollected nationwide.
The CG said applicants whose passports have been produced should go for pick-up at the various Passports Issuing Centres across the country.
Nandap stated that efforts made to reach out to the owners had proved abortive.
According to her, “Applicants are therefore strongly advised to always provide verifiable addresses and phone numbers when filling their online passport application forms for easy contact.”
The NIS boss directed that all Passport Offices in Lagos should operate on Saturdays between 9am – 2pm.
The essence of this directive, she informed is to ensure
officials attend to applicants coming for the collection of their produced passports only.
