The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu who also served as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, has been kidnapped from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
A source close to the police said that the kidnappers stormed the residence in a commando style, a situation which the source took members of the community surprise
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer(PRO), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Omolola Odutola said the retired AIG’s wife was about entering her home when her Lexus Jeep was accosted by the kidnappers.
The PRO added that the victim was dragged out of the Jeep, and taken through a swampy area to an unknown location
According to the Spokesman, “The Divisional police officer has led a team of officers to the scene, where they are currently searching the swampy bush area.
“The Baale of Warewa and Maaba have been contacted to also deploy local security forces to the riverine area as part of efforts to rescue the victim,” the PRO said.
