The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN), Mrs .Olubunmi Kuku has continued her winning streak as she was awarded the Excellence Award for the year 2025 by the Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studie(CIAPS).
Speaking at the event shortly after bestowing the award on Kuku, a Director at CIAPS, Prof. Anthony Kila said that the honour was done the FAAN MD for the excellent work she has been doing upon assuming office.
Kila stated that the award is in recognition of the outstanding achievements, exemplary and unwavering commitment to Excellence.
Excellence, he said can be achieved if the drive is there and the target towards achieving it is set
Kuku thanked CIAPS for the award, adding that it is a testimony of the excellent job that Kuku is doing in the FAAN.
He urged her to continuously strive to achieve excellence as according to Kila, it is achievable.
On her part, Kuku who was unavoidably absent, was represented by the General Manager Administration, Mrs. Oluwasola Awe.
Awe, while receiving the prestigious award for excellence on behalf of the Managing Director, said that it is an honour to stand before the August gathering representing the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku.
“As we gather to celebrate this achievement, I would like to highlight FAAN’s commitment to cultivating a culture of excellence in service delivery.

She informed that Kuku’s commitment to excellence is contagious, adding that under her leadership, FAAN is striving for greatness.
Awe pointed out that FAAN as an organisation is focused on excellent service delivery by leveraging technology to reduce waisted time and also enhance passenger satisfaction.
“We’ve achieved significant improvements in non-aeronautical revenue and safety standards,” Awe said.
