Ibom Air has been recognised with the Corporate Impact Award by the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter.

According to MWAN, the award celebrates the airline’s exceptional leadership, distinguished corporate citizenship, and unwavering partnership in advancing cancer care initiatives within the state.

The honour was conferred on the the airline on February 14, 2026, during the Investiture ceremony of the 17th President of the MWAN, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, held in Uyo.

The award recognises Ibom Air’s steadfast commitment to health as one of the core pillars of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

In addition to this, Ibom Air was conferred with the Founding Patron Award for the MWAN Cancer Treatment Endowment Fund which serves to support treatment access and hope for indigent patients, thereby strengthening the collective impact and restoring dignity to countless lives.

Beyond its contributions to cancer awareness and treatment, the airline continues to drive impactful health programmes, including FAMPACT, a signature initiative focused on the fight against malaria in pregnant women and children as well as supporting free open-heart surgeries for children since 2019 from Akwa Ibom and beyond.

The award was received on behalf of the airline by the Group Manager, Corporate Services, Mrs. Imelda Aba.

In her remarks, she said that “At Ibom Air, we do not just fly people; we uplift communities”.

She further commented that “By championing initiatives within Ibom Air’s CSR pillars of Health, Education, and Community Development, we are ensuring that our growth as a brand translates into a tangible, positive legacy for the people of Akwa Ibom state and beyond.”

Ibom Air continues to set the standard for corporate citizenship, proving that through strategic collaboration and compassionate leadership, we can unite and create a future where quality healthcare is accessible to all.
