The Eden Moringa Group and the Moringa Producers, Marketers and Farmers Welfare Association have concluded plans to unveil a 2,000-hectare integrated moringa plantation, animal colony and agro-industrial project in Nasarawa State on October 8, 2026..
This was disclosed by the Chairman/CEO of Eden Group and the Moringa Productions Marketers and Farmers Welfare and Empowerment Association of Nigeria, Dr. Ashimashiga Akoloaga in an official invitation made available to Ontimenewsng.com.
According to Akoloaga the project will be located
at Tede Community, Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State
The landmark agricultural and agro-industrial initiative, he said represents a strategic security, employment generation, rural economic development, farmer
governments’ objectives in agricultural transformation, food and nutritional private-sector contribution towards the Federal and Nasarawa State empowerment, livestock development, industrialisation and non-oil export
expansion.
He informed that the project is developed as an integrated agricultural production and capable of supporting domestic processing industries as well as
international export requirements.
The unveiling ceremony, the Chairman said is much more than the inauguration of a farm, adding that it represents the unveiling of a nationally significant agricultural
collaboration among government, organised farmers, communities, the private sector, development partners, investors and international off-takers.
He noted that the participation and collaboration would provide significant encouragement to the thousands of farmers, workers, partners and stakeholders associated with transition from primary agricultural production to commercial processing and export oriented agribusiness.
The event, the Chairman said is expected to bring together representatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Government, traditional institutions, diplomatic and international development communities,
agricultural organisations, investors, financial institutions, international off-takers, farmers, private-sector organisations and the media.
Recall that on September 7, 2026, the Chairman/CEO of Eden Group and the Moringa Productions Marketers and Farmers Welfare and Empowerment Association of Nigeria, Dr. Ashimashiga Akoloaga, in company of the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Theophilus Angbashim, paid a strategic visit to Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transportation.
The engagement according to the group focused on preparations toward securing a suitable date from the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for the official commissioning of the landmark agricultural project.
The Commissioner, who received samples of Eden Group’s value-added moringa products, welcomed the development and emphasised proper timing and coordination, particularly as preparations progress toward receiving international partners, investors, off-takers, Federal Government representatives and other dignitaries.
During the visit Akoloaga also presented the vision for a 13,000-Farmer Lifetime Empowerment Programme, targeting 1,000 farmers from each of Nasarawa State’s 13 Local Government Areas, without placing the beneficiaries on the State Government salary payroll.
The initiative, he explained is expected to strengthen farmer incomes, agro-processing, livestock development, employment and export opportunities while positioning Nasarawa State as a strategic hub for moringa and agro-industrial production for the international market
