… Urges brands to advertise using authentic channels

The producer of HitList N Cruzin and AIT Music Plus, Mursty Adinoyi, has won the African Outstanding Television Producer and Music Entertainment Personality of the Year 2026 award.

The award was organised by the African Global Excellence Award (AGEA) in Lagos at the weekend.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Adinoyi said the recognition is a collective vision and that he cannot celebrate the milestone without acknowledging those who have walked the path with him.

The award-winning producer thanked the organisers of AGEA for finding him worthy of the honour.

According to him, “It is a massive encouragement to keep pushing the boundaries of television and entertainment production.”

He also thanked his family for their endless love, patience, prayers and unwavering support through every late night and challenging season.

Adinoyi appreciated the team at Emrose Adinoyi Production and partners for their support and patronage.

“This award is a testament to our shared sweat, creativity and dedication. We did this together! HitList N Cruzin and AIT Music Plus would not be where they are today without your brilliant efforts.

“To all television and radio stations, I say thank you for providing the platforms, trust and spaces for us to showcase our potential to the world,” he said.

The ace producer dedicated the award to God Almighty, who he said has given him and his team the grace, breath and strength to use their talents to celebrate their generation.

“As I celebrate this milestone, My heart goes out to our society as we face a pressing issue that touches every Nigerian family.

Meanwhile, Adinoyi has appealed to Corporate leaders añd brands especially across food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries to join hands with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration(NAFDAC), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and others in protecting the lives of Nigerians by utiising trusted, widespread media channels such as Nigerian newspapers, radio, and television, to educate consumers on how to distinguish genuine products from counterfeits.

Speaking further, he said, “As a media practitioner, I often observe how challenging it has become even for everyday consumers to recognise the original packaging of household staples items because their presence on local Nigerian television has reduced over time.”

“While global channels reach certain segments, Nigeria is a vast nation of over 200 million people, many of whom rely on local terrestrial broadcast channels for information and trust,_ he added.

He urged advertisers to make public brand protection and educational campaigns a central part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), stressing that it will go a long way in safeguarding public health.

According to him, ” Darkness can only exist where light is absent. Let us work together to shed light and protect Nigerian consumers,” he said.

He thanked viewers of both HitList N Cruzin and AIT Music Plus for their continued love and support, urging them to keep raising the bar
