The Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, Aminu Baba Raji, has called on all to imbibe the lesson of the season and shun vices. as Christian celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
A statement signed by the Police Public Relation Officer, Superintendent of Police, Daramola Kazeem informed that the CP said this while commemorating with Airport Christian community on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The call by the CP, the Airport PPRO said comes on the heels of a meeting he had with the management team, the Head of Departments (HoDs) and the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in his office yesterday, good Friday.
He said that since the Federal Government has declared Friday 29th and Monday 1st, March, 2024, public holidays, an increase in movement of air travellers in and around the country and even international flights should be anticipated .
The CP stated that already adequate security has already been put in place for everyone with activities at the airports across the country.
He pleaded that all should conform with airport regulations and submit oneself for routine checks at all check counters/points by passengers and staff alike.
The Airport Command Police boss, admonishes would-be travellers to get to airports on time to avoid rush that might result in a security breach.
He used the occasion to wish his personnel, the airport community and the entire citizenry a happy Easter celebration..
