Ibom Air has won ‘The Best Airline of the Year’ for the third consecutive year at the prestigious African Travel Quarterly Travelers Award ceremony, 2024.

A statement signed by the General Manager, Marketing and Communication,Ibom Air, Aniekan Essienette informed that the award was bestowed on the airline for its performance as a domestic airline and pivotal role in shaping the aviation sector.

The event which was held on April 19, 2024, at the National Museum, Lagos, had in attendance the Honourable Minister of Tourism of Nigeria, Ms. Lola-Ade John, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Akwa Ibom State, Sir Charles Udo, and several other Tourism Commissioners from other states of the federation.

The Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Ibom Air, Mr. George Uriesi, expressed gratitude for the recognition.

“We are honoured and humbled to receive the ‘Best Airline of the Year’ award for the third consecutive year. We dedicate it to our customers, who have stuck with us through thick and thin and for whom we will continue to work hard every day to meet their very high expectations. We also acknowledge and thank African Travel Quarterly Magazine for the painstaking, objective,  data-based process they follow in conferring these awards on recipients. This prestigious accolade validates our commitment and rewards the tireless efforts of our entire workforce.”

The airline said that it  acknowledges that its  passengers are the cornerstone of our endeavors, adding that their loyalty and confidence have been instrumental in shaping the airline’s triumphs and propelling it to continually strive for service excellence.

Ibom Air stressed that awards like this serve to encourage us tremendously.

The airline stated that in celebration of this significant milestone, Ibom Air is thrilled to unveil its forthcoming plans to elevate the travel experience of its  passengers by introducing the cutting-edge Airbus A220-300, set to commence operations imminently.

 This state-of-the-art aircraft, Ibom Air said will revolutionise standards of comfort, reliability and efficiency in domestic and regional air travel while also stabilising the airline’s schedule to match what its passengers have come to expect from us.

“We are steadfast in our pledge to uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and convenience for our passengers,” Uriesi  affirmed.

“Incorporating the Airbus A220-300 reaffirms our unwavering commitment to delivering a world-class service that meets the expectations of our esteemed passengers,” he added.
