The Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) has  called on security agents to protect genuine protesters and economic  assets as Nigeria  faces a pivotal moment in its history, following the nationwide protests currently sweeping  across the country.

A statement by the group said it  recognised the right to peaceful protest, but emphasised the need to safeguard the country’s economic infrastructure and legitimate protesters.

The ongoing protests, the group stated, have brought attention to pressing issues such as economic hardship, corruption, and poor governance.

FiBOP, however, stressed that destroying property and disrupting economic activities will only worsen the situation.

FiBOP called on law enforcement agents to ensure that protests remain peaceful and that genuine protesters are distinguished from miscreants.

Similarly, FiBOP also appealed to protesters to avoid violence and vandalism, which can harm innocent citizens and damage the economy.

Instead, FiBOP urged protesters to engage in constructive dialogue with the government to address their concerns.

The protection of economic assets and genuine protesters is crucial in this critical moment, advising law enforcement agents to ensure that protests do not lead to chaos and destruction, but rather to positive change.

FiBOP said that by working together, Nigerians can address their grievances and build a future for themselves and their country.

FiBOP said that its call to action is a timely reminder of the need for responsible and peaceful protest, highlighting the importance of balancing the right to protest with the need to protect the country’s economic stability.

It added that by doing so, FiBOP aims to promote a peaceful and constructive resolution to the ongoing protests.

FiBOP’s appealed to law enforcement agents and protesters to ensure that the ongoing protests lead to positive change.

FiBOP, a body of online publishers focused on finance and business, has urged security agents  to protect the nation’s economic assets and genuine protesters.
