Air Peace Limited said that its aircraft with Flight number P47190 and with registration number 5N-BQQ, operating from Lagos to Port Harcourt this morning, had a runway excursion after landing safely at the Port Harcourt International Airport(PHIA).
A statement signed by the airline’s Spokesperson, Osifo-whiskey Efe, explained that the aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage, adding that all the passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and there was no injuries reported.
“We reassure the flying public of our unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed the runway excursion incident involving Air Peace Limited airline at Port-Harcourt runway and that no casualty was recorded.
A statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection,, FAAN, Mrs. Obiageli Orah* explained that the incident aircraft landed at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA) at approximately 0745 hours.
The aircraft, FAAN, said overshot runway 03 upon landing.
“We are relieved to report that there were no casualties. Evacuation of the 127 passengers has been completed safely with no casualties,” FAAN assured.
The statement further explained that in the interim the airline should plan for flight delays for any departing flights to Port Harcourt .
