Let’s meet you sir
My name is Dayo Davies. I’m the Brand Manager for Super International Travels and Tour.
Sir, your company Super International Travels Limited won Tour Operators award at this year’s edition of Akwaaba African Travel Market. Tell us about the award and how you feel.
I am very happy that we won an award as tour operator at Akwaaba. I am happy because, it goes to show that somebody is watching and noticing what we are doing. It means we are on the right track and progressing.
So it’s a good thing. It’s just a way of appreciating what we’ve done so far in the past years as regards tourism. And it will also propell us to do more and we are not stopping anytime soon. We hope to have more partnerships in the coming years. We have existing partnerships and we are building more. In the last 12 months till now, we’ve built over 30 additional partnerships and that’s… we are positioning ourselves ready for the future because the industry is fast-paced and it’s moving, and we are catching and rendering quality services to our esteemed customers.
What is your mission at Akwaaba and what are the services Super International Travels Limited offers?
We are here as usual to connect and meet with industry stakeholders and travel agencies. We have been able to launch our platform, which is a white-label opportunity for travel agencies. Travel agents can go there and, you know, they can get travel products beyond tickets. They can get medical evacuation services, eSIM roaming, we have travels management… We have over the years offer services that are customer friendly . We are 43 years in the industry and over the years, we’ve developed from a travel agency to a travel management company, because we do everything around travel. And in the coming year, 2027 we’ve positioned the company before the customers.. We are going fully AI, and we hope that this transition will not just help us, but will also help even travel agencies that are sub and that we are also supporting. So, our expectation here is to meet with them, let them know what we have for the travel school, and let them see where we are going as a big brand that we are for the coming year.
LIke other businesses, Super International Travels Limited definitely must be facing challenges. Can you share some of them with Ontimenewsng.com?
Yes, general travel challenges for everyone. You know that the Foreign Exchange problem is there . We also have the visa problem. But as much as we can, that’s why we keep having partnerships with destination management companies all over the world, so that we can at least have some edge when it comes to visas, and also partnerships with airlines. But the global challenge has been the FX and the visa issues that we have in the industry.
How is the patronage for Super International Travels Limited like?
Yes, Super Travels, right now has about 100 sub-agents; Nigerian and about 80 Indian sub-agents, and we are growing more and more. We have three offices for now: we have in Abuja, we have our head office in Lagos, and another Lagos branch. We are open to getting bigger and bigger, and to also expand. So when it comes to patronage, we are doing well, but like I said, we are getting bigger and better daily.
