…Promises To Collaborate With Body
The Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga, has acknowledged the role played by the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN) in the capital market and its positive impact on the Exchange.
He also said that the exchange is always open to partnering with the association in the development of the capital market .
Kwairanga said this in his good will message at the 30th anniversary award night of the association in Lagos .
He noted that as an organisation, the Nigerian Exchange Group recognised the important role that the association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria plays in the capital market and its positive impact on the Exchange .
“We are always open to partnering with you in the development of the capital market,” he said.
He said the event is an occasion to recognise those who have stood out among members and persons and bodies that have made outstanding contributions to the association and the sector.
Members of the association, he pointed out have led the capital raising exercises that recapitalised the banks and the insurance companies and that have enabled governments at various levels meet their governance and development objectives.
Accrding to him, “On a regular basis, you raise funds that keep companies and the economy running and your impact can not be underestimated.
Kwairanga commended the association on 30 years of existence as an association, adding that he can confidently say that those years have also witnessed the mobilisation of the greatest amount of funds in this nation’s history for the Federal Government, sub-nationals and corporate bodies.
He congratulated those who are being recognised and urged them to do even more in the years ahead.
